With over 20 years of experience as a dedicated cosmetologist, Judy Ellis has honed her craft to bring out the best in her clients. Passionate about beauty and self-care, she finds joy in helping others look and feel their best.

Judy has been happily married to her wonderful husband, David, for 17 years. Together, they have two amazing kids—Dominik, 18, and Kyndall, 13—who keep life exciting and fulfilling. Their family is rounded out by their two energetic dogs, Scout, a Golden Retriever, and Birdie, a Silver Lab.

Outside of work, Judy loves spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and cherishing the simple moments with her loved ones. Whether at the salon or enjoying nature, she embraces life with warmth and enthusiasm, making every experience meaningful and memorable.

Naquilla Hall is a passionate cosmetologist with over two years of experience in the beauty industry. She holds an associate's degree in biology and finds joy in helping clients feel their best. She has a special love for scalp treatments and relaxation techniques. As a Scalp Specialist at Lather Head Spa, she appreciates the calming atmosphere and the opportunity to provide soothing, personalized care to each client.

Outside of work, Naquilla is a devoted mother to her two-year-old son, Atticus. She enjoys spending time with her long-term boyfriend as they work together to renovate their home. A true cat lover, Naquilla adores her feline companions and finds comfort in curling up with a good crime documentary and a cup of her favorite 7 Brew Coffee.

Naquilla believes in the power of self-care and enjoys the slower, more intentional pace of scalp treatments. She loves seeing her clients leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and deeply relaxed.

Kristie Spears is a dedicated professional with a passion for both beauty and healthcare. Married to her high school sweetheart, Jason, for 26 years, Kristie takes great pride in her family. She and Jason have two wonderful children: Rylan, a junior at the University of Tennessee, and Hadley, a junior at Volunteer High School.

With over 26 years of experience as a cosmetologist, Kristie has also spent 22 years working as a dental assistant at Family Dental Center. After taking the last two years to focus on being a wife and mother, she has now embraced a new and fulfilling role at Lather Head Spa.

Kristie finds immense joy in her work, especially in witnessing the relaxation and rejuvenation her clients experience after their treatments. She loves being part of a team that prioritizes wellness and self-care, making each client feel special and renewed.

Rose Turley is a licensed esthetician with a true passion for skincare and the art of esthetics. She graduated from Jenny Lee Esthetics Academy in 2023 and is excited to bring her knowledge and gentle touch to the treatment room. After spending several years as a dedicated stay-at-home mom to her two children, River (11) and Sage (8), Rose felt called to return to the workforce and chose to join Lather Head Spa for its warm, relaxing atmosphere. Her goal is to create a calming, peaceful experience for every client she serves.

Originally from Maine, Rose moved to Johnson City, TN 25 years ago and loves the slower pace and strong sense of community found in the Tri-Cities. She lives with her long-term boyfriend and their two cats, Honey and Talia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, fishing, making art, and taking family walks around the park. She also loves exploring new and local restaurants throughout the area.

Bryleigh is the friendly face you’ll see when you walk into Lather Head Spa! A recent graduate of Volunteer High School, she’s set to begin her journey in cosmetology at TCAT this January. Whether it’s hair, nails, or the head spa, Bryleigh is passionate about building a career in the beauty industry. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, golfing, playing softball, and relaxing with a good board game. She’s also a proud pet mom to two dogs—Bynx and Millie—three cats—Nila, Nash, and Izzy—and a sweet rabbit named Honey Bunny. Bryleigh is excited to welcome you to the spa and help make your visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible!

A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, she has lived in 12 states and two countries, including Japan and Australia, which has inspired her creative approach to beauty and wellness.

As our dedicated ASMR Hair Play and Scratch Therapy Specialist, Heather loves providing deeply relaxing, sensory-driven treatments designed to melt away stress and leave clients feeling renewed.

Heather is also Judy’s sister-in-law of 20 years, making her not just a valued member of the team but also a part of the Lather Head Spa family. She shares her life with her longtime boyfriend, Justin, and their blended family of five children—Declan, Eva, Ella, Hadley, and Ewan—along with their dogs Penny and Maggie and their pet axolotl, Ingo.

A former makeup artist, Heather still enjoys experimenting with cosmetics and exploring creative outlets. When she’s not at the spa, she can be found crafting, creating, and spending time with her family.

Valerie Young brings over 15 years of cosmetology experience to Lather Head Spa, blending her love of beauty, wellness, and energy work into every service she provides. Originally from Wisconsin, Valerie spent several years in Florida doing hair before moving to Virginia in 2021 with her son, who is now five and loves spending time at the jump park.

Valerie now lives on a farm, where life is happily shared with two Australian Shepherds, a Great Pyrenees, chickens, and rabbits. In addition to her cosmetology expertise, she is a Reiki Master Practitioner and Certified Sound Healer, bringing a unique, holistic approach to relaxation and self-care. She’s passionate about healthy living, working out, and nourishing the body and mind, and she loves helping guests at Lather Head Spa feel balanced, restored, and deeply cared for.
